Saint Anthony Falls - Low Water

21 February, 2008 (20:45) | General

Icy St. Anthony Locks, originally uploaded by 5igmund.

Krista, Duke and I went out to St Anthony Falls to check out the low water. The Army Corps of Engineers lowered the water in the middle falls area to do some tunnel inspections and some other studies. So we decided to go down to the stone arch bridge and check out the low water. It was pretty sweet being able to check out the river at low water. You could really see how the currents ran through the river and rapids through the river there. Basically, I would not want to be in that water at any point. There are so many intricate currents that these photos do not even do justice to. I highly suggest going down tomorrow and check it out before the Corps raises the river level tomorrow.
